Weave a cushion workshop 3 hours workshop. (No sewing required)
Jump straight into the fun part of weaving on a 4 shaft table loom. With over 25 years of weave experience, I can guide you through the basics of weaving on a professional loom and help you grow in colour confidence.
Access a wide range of my colourful yarns, and let your creativity run wild while learning different weave structures, including plain weave and twill. The looms will be threaded up in preparation for this workshop, and the session can be adapted to meet the requirements of each participant. You can get in touch before the workshop to request specific colours, and where possible, I will find a shade that matches.
Once each participant has finished weaving their panel, I transform the woven sample into a simple cushion for you to take home. All in three hours in the spacious and bright John James room at Windmill Hill City Farm in Bristol. (More or less. Sometimes, the session runs over by 15 minutes).
As everyone weaves at a different pace, some might finish before the end of the advertised workshop time. In these instances, I will bring along some of my woven samples and favourite weaving books for you to browse and ask questions.
Unlimited tea, coffee, and biscuits are provided, and the sessions are fun, informal, and friendly.
IMPORTANT. The workshop is a standing activity and involves repeated actions. Those who suffer from lower back pain might experience some discomfort. Seating is available, and taking regular breaks is recommended.

- How to achieve neat and even selvedges
- Setts
- Materials

You will be weaving on a Louet Erica 4-shaft loom which will be pre-set in preparation for the workshop. Warping your own loom will be covered in the workshop too.
The class size is restricted in numbers to allow plenty of hands-on support from Angie whilst you get to grips with the trickier aspects of weaving krokbragd.
The sessions will begin at 10 am until 4.30 pm with a tea break in the morning and afternoon.
A simple lunch is included in the workshop. Unlimited tea, coffee, and biscuits are provided and the sessions are fun, intensive and friendly.
IMPORTANT. The workshop involves some standing and repeated actions. Those who suffer from lower back pain might experience some discomfort. Seating is available and taking regular breaks is recommended.
